If you're by chance talking about Washington, they have a website that shows you exactly what to wear each day. Actually the first 2 days they give you a shirt to wear which you should pair with nice dark jeans and cute flat sandals. The week tends to get progressively dressier with Preference being the most formal. Even if it's not Washington, I would suggest taking a look at the recruitment site q&a's to get an idea about what they wear in the Pacific Northwest. Because it is on the quarter system & recruitment week starts before school, you will not have the opportunity to ask dorm friends so plan ahead. Good luck!
