I HATE the phrase business casual. Hopefully your school's Greek Life website will be able to fill in some blanks because it varies so wildly by region, school and season. Take the lead from their pictures, and go a smidge nicer than that. Those website are notorious for being too casual, but don't go WAY nicer. If the girls are all wearing shorts, wear shorts, but maybe a bit dressier than what they're wearing. And styles (thankfully) seem to be going a bit longer this year, so butt crack shorts are a no-no.
Since you have deferred rush, hopefully you can discuss with some girls on your dorm floor to get an idea of what the others are wearing. This is also a good ice-breaker if you haven't made friends with some of these girls.
Without sharing your school (which it's wise not to) we will have trouble providing much support. Do a search for your school here. Maybe you'll find a previous thread that will help, or a student/alumna of your school to send a private message.
