I am glad that some things are finally changing. Some mentally disabled people cannot think totally in their right minds and honestly don't understand the capacity of what they have done. It stunned me greatly that a Black woman in Oklahoma who had a serious mental problem was executed. It was evident in talking with her and watching her and her family that they all had a problem. A lot of false evidence was presented in this trial and I don't think she got a fair trial and now she is gone. I saw her story on HBO. I think it was said but hopefully things will really start to change. For anyone interested here is a site you can go to for info on her story.
Don't get me wrong, I am a firm believer that if you do the crime you must do the time. But for some mental people I don't know.
