I don't think the the guy needs the public's "forgiveness". He served his time. To see whether dog fighting is part of his culture, you only need to go back to where he grew up and look for signs. This is learned behavior. Of course it isn't wide spread culture, but neither is cock fighting. Drive through Louisiana and there are little huts in some yards for cocks specifically for that purpose. Is it less disgusting because it's legal or because they are birds? Meh. I hope he learned a lesson. I'm glad he's using his star power for a good cause to talk to people about the evils of dog fighting. if this episode didn't change what he feels in his heart...maybe it will at least change his actions.
