Rec Question
Lots of times, we advise PNM's to ask their rec writers if they know alumnae of other sororities. How do you guys treat a PNM that comes to you in this manner? Do you consider her to be "personally known", or is she the same as a random PNM referred to you via an APH? Or does it depend on who referred her?
I have never been asked for a rec in this manner, but I think if a close friend/relative referred a PNM to me, I'd think "well, if close friend considers her good enough for ABC, then she must be good enough for my org, too".
