Please don't use the time to share something heartbreaking or newsbreaking for the first time. Nothing that will make you cry so much that you can't finish what you're saying, and nothing that will make the sisters cry so much that they cause a scene. I was at one pref when a sister announced her engagement (exciting, but the sisters were all like "Um, we don't get to have a candle pass?") and another time a sister picked pref as the night to tell us that her father had died over the summer. Remember that the PNMs don't know you or the other sisters well enough to feel the kind of emotions you do, so they will feel awkward if everyone is crying and they're not.
