The reason I didn't rush my Freshman year is because I am an out-of-state student and I just really wanted to adjust to the school better, plus I really didn't know that much about going greek. Plenty of people go through without friends. I find that once you sign up for recruitment and go to Greek Info Nights and stuff, you'll start to meet/make friends with other PNMs. If you live on campus, you may be able to find other women in your hall who are going through as well.
