Keep in mind that these chapters didn't get that big overnight. Just like the Duggars didn't have all those children at once, the chapters just grew over time. And they developed strategies as they went along to cope with the numbers. Now it's all the people currently in the chapter have ever known. It's their norm. May seem odd to others but not to them. Though I know they would like to know their sisters better than they can under these circumstances.
