Don't worry about your class standing. It is what it is. But as Titchou said, it's not at all uncommon for women to enter college technically as sophomores. That's were recommendations and good conversation skills come into play. You can't put on your application "I'm technically a junior, but..." but you can say that in conversation or have a rec writer say it in a letter.
