Obviously, asking to see a badge and someone not being able to produce one doesn't = not a Kappa.
Conversely, being able to produce one doesn't make you one either. You can buy Kappa keys online.
Even if her local ended up BECOMING a Kappa chapter, that doesn't mean she's a Kappa. She had to have been initiated into Kappa when the chapter became part of KKG.
Really, the only way to ensure someone's legitimacy is via Kappa's national online directory. However, many NPC sororities' directories are available to sisters only.
