I agree with your point about being the first to get the paper's ear, but that isnt what the initial post was about. Hoosier referred to the TKE magazine publicizing bad news and he thought it was a good anti-hazing tool.

How is that a good anti-hazing tool?

It's not going to make the active members change their ways.. The active members of every fraternity already know the rules and they know the consiquences of breaking the rules. The story in the national magazine isnt going to inform the members of anything they dont already know.
