Dad's Marriage #1-
Three half sisters, one half brother: Susie, William, Remy, Elizabeth. Elizabeth passed away 10 years before I was born. No one really told me why.

Dad's Marriage #2-
No kids produced (so they say), but he did have two step-sons, one of whom is our current Governor of Hawaii.

Dad's Marriage #3-
I'm the offspring of this marriage. My parents had a child back in 1975 but he was stillborn. Mom got pregnant again in 1976 but it was a complicated pregnancy and the baby didn't survive. I came along in 1979! Mom got pregnant again in 1987 but again she suffered a miscarriage so they call me the lucky one... even though my half siblings like to claim that I'm an accident.

**There's a 31 year age difference between my mom and dad. It was an arranged marriage and they weren't even going to stay together for that long once my mom arrived in the US, but they ended up falling in love.

If you think this is confusing...my half siblings from dad's first marriage are all older than my mother. My half siblings are actually old enough to be my parents. Don't worry if you're confused. Most people usually are.
