I would get completely ready - hair, makeup, jewelry, accessories, etc. before class so all you need to do is put on your dress and heels. I would bring it with you so just in case you are running late you can just change in a bathroom (and bring makeup/hair stuff for touchups), and if you have enough time you can go home and change.
