I've really only seen the "extra heavy" apply to guys - and I'm pretty sure that it just means that it's thicker and wider.

I LOVE CLADDAUGHS! I have a plain one that I wear on my right ring finger (because I wear my wedding ring on my left...either way, it still says "taken")
