Thank you for the good news about our Delt chapter down there.
My intent was/is to suggest that ALL organizations take a hard look at their chapters. I don't think I singled out PIKE -- and if it seems that way please know that it was my desire to use that situation as an unfortunate example and not to insinuate that the PIKE national organization is a bad one.
I do believe (to badly paraphrase an old cliche) that it is important to keep sniffing for smoke before a fire breaks out.
We at Delt have been in the unhappy position of having to close some of our oldest, largest and best known chapters because they were becomming a liability to our reputation and good name. In the long run, however, I believe that a smaller group of outstanding men/chapters may be to our benefit.
