Do people normally rush the Spring of their Sophomore year on your campus? At some schools, this isn't the norm. At others, it's done frequently. Does your school have a competitive rush or a perceived (or real) tier system? I don't know your school so I can't really give you an answer applicable to your situation.
You dropped out of the pledge process after 3 weeks. Some people don't feel like they really fit in until they are initiated. It varies. Did you give it a real chance? Would you drop a group the same way if you get a bid and choose to pledge in the Spring?
We can't tell you if you're going to choose the correct fraternity. The correct fraternity is the group you fit in with and like. The only person that can guide you on that is yourself.
Just my own personal opinion, but if you do rush you will probably not get bids from 5 groups again, especially since you told 4 of them you did not want to join them. People who have dropped out of pledging before are generally not as wanted (since you could do the same again).
