I really like the lyre as our symbol-I think it is beautiful and unique. James Avery Craftsman had a perfect lyre necklace years ago that I bought but have since misplaced
-it had the exact number of strings which can be difficult to find. One night at work I was wearing the necklace and speaking with two young women about their sick pet when they both asked if I was an AXO.
I like the colors red and green but rarely wear them together. I have red hair but look great in red so no problems there.
As far as college colors-Maroon and white combination is much better than burnt orange
