I am one of those that who say if the pnm got a bid, then don't revoke it(if it would even be revokable). That would just be too cruel. If it could be caught before the bid was issued, that would be different.

Another facet of recruitment that I have encountered is when one member or a small group of members in a chapter really wants a certain pnm to get a bid from them, so they "politic" for her among their sisters, and the sisters all agree to vote, score, speak for, whatever, for that pnm, and then they don't do it. The group that wanted her thinks that everyone will support their wish and noone tells them any differently. When said pnm does not run to them on bid day, they start questioning. Of course, noone admits that they did not vote, score, whatever as they had been asked, so they assume that the advisors or the greek life office screwed up, which is most often not the case.

And don't even get us started on the savvy pnm who lets every chapter think they are the one that she wants, and come bid day,when her name is not on their bid list, the spurned chapter(s) are bewildered and think that the advisors or panhellenic screwed up.
