Great job Allie!! Be patient. The posts will come.
I'm an alumni member of the Univeristy of Connecticut chapter, and I was an active member of the Eta chapter. I'm sure some things have changed over the years at Eta, but I'll share a few of my best memories.
1. Gavel Talk- I'm sure other chapters do the same thing (with Gamma they pass the duck). After meeting we would pass the gavel and share something good, bad, or exciting that happened to us during the week. It was nice to hear from everyone and be able to share our feelings too.
2. Ag Days- This was our big philanthropy project. For a couple days in May, we invited children from elementary schools out to learn about the different kinds of animals, how to plant seeds, and learn a bit about where their food comes from. Then they got to eat some ice cream from the Dairy Bar. It was great to see the excitement in their faces.
3. Day trips- Sometimes it was a picnic in the park... other times a trek to the country line dancing place. It was always a ton of fun though to spend time with the sisters. Alumni are great at this one too.
Can't wait to hear from the other chapters.
Sisters,
Robin
