Unfortunately, even if any GCers knew you personally they could not tell you your chances of getting in. Get your recs and resume in place and be willing to accept that last sorority on your list (short of seriously hating them of course). You will be cut heavily so don't take it too personally, but there's always a chance it could work out for you.
There is a sorority coming onto campus in the fall which will happen after formal recruitment. Expansions are also extremely competitive, but they like to bring in a mix of all 4 years, so your junior standing should (if I understand this correctly) only put you up against other juniors. But I can't state clearly enough, do NOT consider this your safety option. If you read back over the Florida State Alpha Phi expansion, I think you'll get an idea of how rough it was.
