I think you missed my point. aephi alum was relating her story about driving somewhere by GPS and not knowing that a ferry crossing was required. A map should have shown the ferry marked. A map would also show you that it's a pretty long distance across the atlantic - and driving is unfeasable.
As Dr Phil was saying "who would have been to blame before GPS?"
