Man, this keeps following me around. In the Catholic church, our readings go Old Testament, New Testament, Gospel. And two weeks ago, one of them was 1 Peter 3:9. There's more to it, but the gist is this:

Quote:
In this you rejoice, although now for a little while
you may have to suffer through various trials,
so that the genuineness of your faith,
more precious than gold that is perishable even though tested by fire,
may prove to be for praise, glory, and honor
at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
I posted about it on Facebook, then a friend of mine responded that he's preaching from 1 Peter this whole month. Then it came up in a conversation with an Orthodox friend last week. And your post reminded me of it. Hmm. Something to ponder.

I'm still hoping for a little miracle of my own. I need/want to leave Oklahoma and go back to PA to be with my husband. I heard about an opening in my field at a place I've worked before, in Pittsburgh. And I want it bad. I'm just hoping that someone wants me back
