Mind you Im a neo....but when I told my dad I was crossing, he had the same response as most people. He was like you are doing what with who??? The catch is that my dad is an Alpha so I figured if nobody else knew...he would know who we were.
I also had to keep in mind that when he pledged there were no SGRhos on his yard. By the same token most people grow up with the AKA vs.Delta "syndrome" and its not because they are doing more work but its because of their loving rivalry.
As a result Zetas and SGRhos are kinda left in the background. I personally didnt know about us until I was challenged to do my research about our organization and then I fell in love with the richness that lies with the history of our org.
However, this lets us know that our work is no where near finished. I want people to know our organization because of their deeds and not because of stereotypes. I personally, grew up with the AKA/Delta stereotypes. Besides, I kinda like the close-knit family entity we have, I have a great appreciation for it
