1) Penn State, Theta Psi Fall 2000 baby!
2) WHY DID YOU CHOOSE SIGMA KAPPA?
Partly because I am a super legacy. My mom, her 2 sisters, my grandma and my grandma's sister are all Sig Kaps. At different schools too! Anyway, during rush I had my eye on them from the beginning. The girls had a lot of the same interests as me, and most importantly many of the girls had traveled a lot. That was important to me because I went to high school overseas, and my parents still live overseas. So people who had knowledge of the world and knew what I was talking about was important to me. I suicided Sigma Kappa because I was cut from my other top choices, so if I wasn't a Sigma Kappa I didn't want to be greek.
3. WHAT DID YOUR FIRST SET OF LETTERS LOOK LIKE?
My first "full frontals" other people call them blocks, I got from my big during big/little week. They were horrid, a coral pink shirt with blue flowered letters, and a hunter green shirt with plaid letters. They'd been passed down since who knows when so they were well worn. The ones I wear, I got from my g'ma and it's a navy blue sweat shirt with maroon letters outlined in white.
4. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY OF RUSH AND WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY SINCE THEN?
My favorite rush memory was pref nite. The girls singing and stuff. I just felt really special that nite, and that they really wanted me.
My favorite memory since then has to be Homecoming 2000 with the Gentlemen of the Kappa Alpha Order. We had sooooooooo much fun building the float, saving the spot for the parade, the champagne socail with the alums. But I also love living on the floor and like harmony said, the weekend recaps over brunch and just all the silly stuff we do!
