Why didn't this guy fall back, and hit the duo with with "wait, I'm going to go talk to my manager" because they Always say "wait, I'm going to go talk to my manager" and at least alert someone to the situation?

A Used car salesman? In this economy? If he didn't witness the pistol whipping, I'm sure he was just ecstatic to actually make a sale.
