You DO have to take the pill at the same time every day! There is no magic to the fact that the name of the day was Monday at 11:59 pm and then it was Tuesday at 12:01!!!!!!!! You are supposed to take them 24 hours apart so that the hormone levels are constant.
If you were having sex with people who were not taking their pills correctly and you did not get them pregnant, that does not mean that girls don't have to take them properly. It was by chance that you did not father a baby!
People taking their pills in that way is the reason that so many people say "I was taking the pill and still got pregnant" or when women say "Both of my kids were conceived while I was on the pill". You HAVE to follow the directions!
Also, if you vomit after taking your pill or if you are on antibiotics, the pill is null and void, and you need to use backup. Personally, if it was me using the pill for BC and I was not married, I would use a backup as well all of the time!
