Disagree. I think academics are the first priority but often you have multiple colleges that can cater to your academic path and choosing based on an opinion of the area/social scene/general feel of the school becomes very relevent. Being happy socially (Greek organizations fall here) is in many ways just as important as academic endeavors, and if not, the health of social happiness/general happiness with life can greatly affect academic success.
