Major: Health Care Management
Minor: Business Administration
Currently I am working at a hospital as a Financial Analyst/ Special Projects Coordinatior. My major was really a good balance between health and business courses, which is really helpful. I am currently in graduate school to get my masters degree in Health Administration. I am not sure what I want to do in the long run since the health care arena is so broad (ie. insurance, non-profit, private practices, etc.).
I also did two interships during my junior and senior year, which I found to be valuable experience. Of course the semester
after I graduated they started a new intership program for my major where you work 32 to 40 hours a week (you can also be paid, not much of course) for an entire semester and earn 12 credits.
I wish they had started that program sooner.
