When I rush do I say that I am in my 2nd year or that I am a freshman? I dont know ANYONE that is in a sorority because I am from a town of 2000 people who either don't go to college or go to a community one. I did, however, contact the Nashville Alumnae Associaton for recs. I mailed the letter today so hopefully that will help. Will my GPA for high school or my first year of college be used? I made a 31 on my ACT and had a 3.77 in high school and around a 3.5 this year in college. I was wondering what my chances of getting a bid would be. I was accepted into the Scholars program at UTM (only 42 people out of 8000 are accepted) I joined many clubs in high school and I have played softball all of my life--i got mvp, best defense, and best offense award. I also do not know anyone at UT Knoxville. Any info will be greatly appreciated!!

We can't tell you what your chances would be because we just don't know. You might get a bid, you might not.
I would THINK that if you have a college GPA established, that is what the sororities would use. Check with the Greek Life office at UTK on that.
Also, here's a thread about UTK and transfers in recruitment. Maybe it has good advice for you:
