See, I grew up on the comics (well, and on Adam West). I've never really watched the animated versions. From the comics of my youth, the mental picture I have is of a Batman who looks like this:
or this:
Bruce Wayne is supposed to a cool, fairly superficial,
really wealthy playboy. That's my problem with "awkward." But at the same time, it has to be believable that he could be as strong and athletic as Batman.
So, in the interest of some other names if Bale is being counted out, how about Armie Hammer?
