Just because you don't need Recs, doesn't mean that Recruitment is not competitive. UNC Charlotte holds No Frills Formal Recruitment so some see it as less of a big deal, but girls do get their hearts broken sometimes.
A few great recomendations could really set you apart from the pack, also make sure you have a solid GPA.
They also might ask you why you didn't go through Formal Recruitment before, so make sure that you have some positive reasons in your explanation.
