I have told more first time recruiters that this may be the biggest benefit of being a sorority woman! One of the least active chapter sisters I have has often said that it's one reason that she's crushed that her daughter didn't go greek!
I want to add: you know that you're a sorority member when you have certain timeless outfits that will fit recruitment (even though you're an alumna), when you have ziplock bags of aluminum poptops on your refrigerator for Ronald McDonald House (or whatever for your philanthropy) (I've been told that my refrigerator looks like a recycling bin), or any pets being named after your mascot.
