KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – A fraternity at Western Michigan University has been put on probation.
Sigma Pi will be on probation until 2013.
It's [sic] members will have to wait until next fall to be recognized . . . as a student organization again.
This is in response to a party at the frat house where 18-year-old Jordyn Sanderson was critically injured.
. . . Police say she was drunk when she fell from a second story balcony and fractured her skull.
. . . housing officials condemned the house after the accident. The house is still condemned at this time.
Student Affairs officials handed down the sanctions after deciding the fraternity violated university policy.
