The alumnae are usually an awesome resource!! The younger alum are helpful because they're usually still in tune with the dynamics on campus, and the older alum have a lot of valuable tips that are picked up in the real world. Plus, it's also a good bonding experience to hear alum stories

In my chapter, we have a full weekend of training that's 2-3 weeks before recruitment (depending on the year), and then we also have shorter training sessions before. So, pretty much everything is covered at our RTS. While it can be awkward, it's not like practicing conversation starters/how to answer "problem" questions can ever be done too much! If nothing else, it will make your Polish Week go even more smoothly. I'm a big fan of doing things ahead of time, and I think that in terms of people skills, it can really pay off in the long run. If you notice that some people are maybe having difficulty at RTS, then it can give them extra time to become more comfortable. How long is your RTS, and is it long before recruitment starts?
