A very near miss...

The paper towel caper reminded me of a very tense (but now funny) situation way back when I had my first apartment after college. I was a TV director at a station about 75 miles from where I went to school. Remember, this was in the 60's, and things weren't quite as "liberal" as they are today.

A young lady, who will remain unidentified, had come up from our little college town and was spending the weekend with me in my new place.

At about 10 AM on Saturday, there was a knock on the door (which woke both of us), and it turned out to be her older brother who was going to college in the city where I worked. I don't know if he suspected she was there or just stopped by to see the new place (yeah, right!), but we chatted for what seemed like an eternity and he finally left.

I went back into the bedroom, and found her hiding in the closet with one very small article of (bikini) clothing on. Damn, was that sexy!

On another occassion while I was still in school, a young lady (gee, maybe even the same one -- or maybe not) dropped in on me at my apartment on a Saturday morning. Someone knocked on the door while we were in bed and we ignored it. About two years later, the guy who knocked asked me if (name not mentioned to protect -- well whatever) and I had been there that morning. He just had a strong hunch. Strange.
