Oh, TLaw, I agree with you 1913%. That is what I meant when I said that MAN won't be that forgiving nor will he go unpunished. I agree that he is sick. Now, TLaw, I KNOW that you've read my previous posts, right? I know how you feel about these people saying that R. Kelly is being "framed" or these girls are "fast" or people just want some of his money. ALL of that mess is CRAPOLLA to me. Just as I said before, HE was the "adult" in the matter and as an "adult" he had a MORAL OBLIGATION to say no to those "fast" young girls even IF they were the ones pursing him (which I highly doubt).
Now as far as his being the next John P. or Hezekiah Walker is concerned, maybe I went a little too far. I guess what I was trying to say is that he has the ability and talent to become a great MUSICAL asset to some church some day. I'm saying that he will more than likely have SOMEWHAT of a chance to redeem himself, but not to the extent that most people would think. If so, I'm thinking that he'll be more BEHIND THE SCENES or something like that. But I do feel that R. Kelly's light has "flickered" out.
My husband and I were talking about this tonight and we were kinda comparing the amount of PUBLICITY to that of other celebrity scandals such as the O.J. Simpson scandal. We agreed that, although R. Kelly's situation has gotten him a spot on CBS This Morning with Jane Clayson and other major news networks, it's not QUITE as big as O.J.'s situation was. I told my husband that I think that, although I wouldn't want EITHER title, if I had to choose, I'd rather be known as a murderer than a molester. What do you guys think?
