I go to TCU and am in a fraternity but I obviously know a lot of girls in sororities. I will say that sorority recruitment is pretty tough, especially as a sophomore. A lot of girls go through rush, and I think their quota is somewhere around 50 each year, but it's been increasing each year. That means probably 600-700 girls go through rush.

Some chapters will probably cut you after the first day because of age. Is it fair or right? No. But it will probably happen. There are still some chapters that have no problem bidding upperclassmen, I know plenty of sophomores and even juniors that get bids. Just don't get your heart set on one house during rush, give them all a chance. All the sororities have different girls within the chapter and depending on your personality, you will find girls you like in every house. But yeah, get recs for every house.
