You did not share too much information about yourself, but you shared very unique and easily identifiable information about yourself.
If you do go to TX Tech, or anywhere for that matter, there will not be a lot of 22 year olds who lived in Spain, and will have recs from the Dallas area, with the volunteer activities you mentioned.
Trust the sorority women on this board when they say that during recruitment it will be easy to connect the dots.
I've also read a really sad outcome on a recruitment for a Florida school. The young lady came here, not as bad as you
, but she did have some issues and people figured out who she was. Well, she tried recruitment at her first FL school and it did not go well. She actually transferred schools and had a bad outcome there too.
So, it can go either way.

Yeah, I don't think you still "get it" either.
Hopefully in time, as you read through the recommended threads and as you are preparing for recruitment, you will eventually "get it".
