Just interested and Lady Longhorn are absolutely right. Please be aware that nearly every Alumnae Panhellenic in Texas
will have an informational forum in the first several months of 2011 for prospective new members / "rushees." The dates for the ones in 2011 aren't on websites yet, as far as I know, but check back on the websites later this year and then in early 2011. I'd suggest going to the one for your area if you possibly can. :

“How can the Dallas Panhellenic help me with sorority recruitment?
Sorority alumnae assist in the sorority recruitment process by providing rush introductions, also called references or recommendations to their collegiate chapters at various colleges and universities. To facilitate the rush introduction process, prospective members from the Dallas area may register their intent to participate in sorority recruitment with the Dallas Alumnae Panhellenic. The Dallas Area covered by Dallas Alumnae Panhellenic includes anyone with a home address within the Dallas city limits, or a graduate of a public or private high school in the city of Dallas. . . . “
“Each year the Dallas Alumnae Panhellenic Association holds a Recruitment Information Forum to share information about the process of sorority recruitment. This is the best time learn about the benefits of sorority membership and find out how to prepare for sorority recruitment. . . . “
