In reference to When Dove's Cry's confusion - I think some people look at membership in terms of being financial.
financial = member
not financial = not a member
A lot of greeks are financial as undergrads, but may not be as a grad member due to new life expectations - family, home, cars, bills, paying off school loans. All of that seems to take precedent to greek org dues.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I am not at all saying that you shouldn't be active as an alum, but that it
is different. There are just as many ways to be active as an alum as there are when a member is a collegian, but they are not the
same ways, generally speaking. I absolutely did not say that alums shouldn't wear letters, and I have always personally been taught from day one my membership is lifelong.
