Well, make sure that they go waaaayyyy down past your hair. That was done to me with microbraids last summer and I lost about 2 inches of hair!

Welcome to GC, crmldiva08! Anytime I get my hair braided, I get the ends burned with a lighter and once all of the ends are burned, they dip the braids in hot water to burn off any excess hair sticking out of the braids.
