Of course they do, but they don't generally get upset if you refer to them using the generic Hispanic/Latino (preference on which is a whole 'nother thread)...which is what my question is about. Does the same idea apply to Asians, or do they expect non-Asians to recognize the traits like most Asians can? I've never lived in an area with much of an Asian population.
