First, forget about the other sorority you liked. You're probably comparing them in your head, thinking you'd fit in better there and have more fun. You don't know that.

In these next few weeks leading up to initiation spend time with your pledge sisters outside sorority events. Go out with them, make a study group, go see a movie. Make every effort to make a few good friends and at least get acquainted with everyone else. Pay attention to the actives and make friends with those you feel are similar to you. Every sorority has different types of women, and there will be some you can connect with. Participate fully in all activities possible. If before initiation you have done all of these things and truly, honestly feel you won't be happy talk to an older active you respect. Stay the course until then because otherwise you haven't really given the chapter a chance.
