It's that time of year again, time to get ready for the new candidates. Our first official recruitment event was tonight (well, technically yesterday now) but here's whats going on...
Last week we had two informational sessions where a total of 24 ladies showed up. We also had a booth at the Engineering Kick Off where we got about 10-15 ladies to sign up... not sure on the exact number I had to leave early
Schedule for this week (our theme is
carnival):
Tues - Mix and Mingle
Weds - Philanthropy
Thurs - Pref
Fri - Bid Day
Sat - Installation (in the morning.... so as not to miss the
Texas game)
So for Mix and Mingle, we had 17 ladies show up. Some may have had scheduling conflicts, I'm not completely sure. I have several rush crushes
I'm super excited because I've never had so many before ( I think i'm up to 5 now, 3 are "serious"
)
Sorry guys its such a busy week. I'll try to be as prompt as possible, I have an exam on pref night (so I'll be running from pref to exam room), not to mention a lab report or two, some homework..... and the all important
UT GAME this Saturday.
If you didn't know how football games work here, students get in free to all home games, all sports. So there are about 120 (well at least at Sunday evening/Monday morning) tents outside and around the stadium. Keep in mind the game is this
Saturday and people have been out there since
Sunday. I have friends staking out Friday, so I think I'll tent with them only to get up and run to installation (I live on campus and not too far from the stadium).
I'm so excited for everything.
