Okay, first I acknowledge that I am not that old. I turn 27 in a few weeks. But...
1. For the first time in over 2 years, I am finally no longer the youngest employee at my firm. This is the first time- ever- that I haven't been the youngest either on my team (if a large company) or in the company(under 50 employees). I still hold the record of the youngest they've ever hired, though.
2. This is a totally different generation of recruitment. They are all posting statuses on Facebook, liking sorority pages, and tweeting. I remember when Facebook finally came to my campus- back when it was restricted to specific schools- toward the end of my junior year. My senior year was the first time FB came into play during recruitment. Before that LJ was the main research tool we used. Anyway, not all PNMs had FB accounts and people weren't as... open... as they are today. It was a cool new recruitment technology back then. Ha. Of course I also had gmail when they were invite only...
