At the same time, I used to cringe at the idea of dictionaries and encyclopedias online. Now it's so prevalent that print dictionaries and encyclopedias are practically extent. Sad but inevitable.

Initially, I didn't like the idea either. I love books. I have loved them since I was a kid. Heck, I would spend my spare change on books and I can easily spend several hours in a bookstore. I began to consider an e-reader once I began traveling for my job. At one point, I had 8 books in my hotel and had read 7 of them. I didn't want to keep lugging books around. I bought the Nook & I love it. I still get all of the books I love, and I can carry them in one. There's no longer a need to find shelf space for them, and I can take it anywhere. For those who truly love reading, I believe it is a purchase to consider.
