I am one of those annoying people who has about a gazillion of these annoyances.
1-nucular. We don't need to get into the fact that the person in charge of pressing the button to START a nuclear war should be able to correctly pronounce it. But there you go.
2-supposebly. I'm becoming friends with a woman here in Dubai (from Texas and Georgia - I won't incriminate which Georgia school is guilty of not teaching all of its students English) who I thought was smart but who says this. I'm trying to decide if I really need a friend who says supposebly.
3-persons. It is not 5 persons, it is 5 people in virtually every case. If you are a lawyer writing a contract this MAY be acceptable. But even then I bet there's a better way for you to word it.
4-Same with myself. Mary, Sue and myself were not going anywhere or doing anything. This is another phrase that I think people use because it SOUNDS more official. It's not.
5-I have never seen people use apart when they mean a part prior to joining this website. How was THIS not pointed out to you as a 3rd grader? I bite my tongue (typing fingers?) EVERY SINGLE TIME to keep myself from saying, hey, if you want to be apart of the Greek system, then DON'T sign up for recruitment!

As a humorous aside, my British friends are completely hating a new trend in their lexicon - init. As in isn't it. A contraction really doesn't need to be re-contracted.
