Can you possibly take on a part-time job to earn some of that money? You can do something on or close to campus. Work 10 hours a week and earn at least $50 a week - that's $200 a month.

I worked at the student union info desk and sold candy for a semester. I got paid to sit there whether people came by or not, so I got a lot of homework done. Something else that I did in college is type/proof people's papers. Then again, this was before everyone had computers, and people still hand-wrote their papers first. I charged $1-3 a page to type, proof and edit for grammar/spelling. Of course, I was an English major, so it was easy for me. I even helped a professor with his (second) Masters dissertation for an entire semester.

Your campus career center should have listings of PT jobs, both general and related to your major. You might also ask your parents that in lieu of holiday and birthday gifts, if you can use the money towards dues. During breaks, line up jobs like babysitting or helping in an office. You can also get rid of things you don't use (we all have junk that just takes up space) and sell them on E-bay. Lastly, some chapters offer financial assistance in the form of scholarships. If you really want to make it work, there are a hundred different ways to do it. Good luck!
