I finally saw the movie today. I went into this movie looking to make fun of myself and have a few laughs, expecting the typical sorority portrayal. I was pleasantly suprised. My favorite pro greek statements in this movie:

1. The fact that they showed a sorority girl studying!(Vs. the usual naked pillow fights or sloppy drunk hook ups that are usually depicted in movies...ugh!)
2. The fact that she was intelligent and confident, not ignorant.
3. The portrayal of the strength of sisterhood. That we always believe in eachother.
4. When Elle staged the jealous "girl from last night" scene to help out the socially challenged guy with the 2 ruthless girls mocking him. She had compassion and stood up against the girls that portrayed the stereotype that sorority girls have earned unfairly.
5. When she was in the library, mocked by her peers for her sorority affiliation...and the lesbian speculated on how she would be treated during rush, called a "dy*e" and she said "I don't use that word, you probably heard it from (Selma Blair's charachter)." Great line. Shows that it is all the greek bashers that tend to be the ignorant ones.

I think this movie put a few people on our side, so to speak. It was a light hearted movie that didn't offend anyone. The funny thing was, I was in the bathroom after the movie. Some little girl was in line in front of me and she said to her older sister, "Look..she has the same bracelet as the girl in the movie." I looked down and realized I was wearing the return to Tiffany bracelet and smiled at her. She waved back and smiled. It was so cute. Ok..that was random. Sorry.
