Favorite character by far was Miss Whitley Gilbert. Her evolution on the show was just wonderful to me - she started out as a spoiled rich brat, and ended up as...well, she was still a spoiled rich brat, but with much more of a heart.
Least Favorite character had to be Terrance - Colonel Taylor's son with the ponytail...YEECH.
Favorite episodes...A TIE:
Whitley with her therapist Debbie Allen saying "Re-laaaaxx, Re-laaayyyte, Re-leeeease". I still say that whenever I feel stressed, LOL.
and
Any episodes with Diahann Carroll, Patti Labelle, or Ron O'Neal (remember, Whitley's dad was SuperFly).
and
Jaleesa runs the temp agency and gets Freddie a job as receptionist at Whitley's workplace, and Freddie goes off on the black chick for being anti-affirmative action. I like that one.
and what I think is truly my favoritest,
Whitley agrees to be Dwayne and Ron's maid when he's dating Keinu and Patti Labelle, bka Mrs. Wayne, comes to visit. Remember Keinu and Whitley are fighting and end up DROPPING Mrs. Wayne's PRUNE COBBLER (but luckily she had a spare in her purse) and she WENT OFF on them, LOL. Keinu said, WHITLEY IS FIRED! And Dwayne said you can't fire her, and Keinu said why, she's just the maid, and Dwayne said, "She's not just the maid". I remember thinking "daaaammmmnnnn!" Keinu's face was BROKE. But the funniest was how Whitley would always call her out of name, saying "Okay Kee-koo-koo/Ke-lo-lo/Ke-Ku-Kee" and stuff like that, and finally Keinu yelled "it's KEINU KEY-NU!!" I love that episode.
Least favorite episode was when Dwayne interviewed with Kinishiwa and Keinu was the interviewer and didn't give him the job. I still TO THIS DAY think she was hatin' on him and Whitley, LOL.
They jumped the shark with me when Colonel Taylor and Jaleesa got married. They also messed me up when they hooked up Freddie and Ron - Freddie would NEVER screw Ron...
I liked Shazza tho - he was sexy
